About Me:

My name is Evelyn Doris Moore. I was born in Mobile, AL on November 21, 1986 & raised in Central Florida (Multiple cities). I graduated from the University of North Florida with Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and recently completed 6 Years of Service as a soldier of the Alabama Army National Guard (Putting that degree in use). I recently decided to start a hair transformation to healthy hair and this webpage is designed to show you the process and the products I used to accomplish and retain length. Although I have not been given expert advice on my hair, I believe my hair is type 4. Every aspect of natural hair that I learn will be shared on this webpage so that you too can achieve healthy natural hair!

Increased hair growth requires a way to retain the length. Find out my hair regimen that I have been using to retain length to create your own hair regimen.

My current hair regimen is to moisturize and seal my hair every morning. I spray my hair with water, from a water bottle, and moisturize with cantu shea butter leave in conditioner and seal with a bottle filled with a mixture of natural oils including castor oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil and etc. I wash and condition my hair once a week and add protein treatments no less than 4 weeks per treatment or as needed. Sometimes, probably three times throughout the year, I put a hair mask on my hair when my hair required a moisture treatment. I had my ends trimmed by a professional once. With this regimen for the past year I was able to retain 6.00 inches of hair growth (I started with 0.75 inches)! The longest my hair has ever been was approximately armpit length (in between collar bone and armpit length). Right now I am at collar bone length. I also took biotin supplements but not regularly. I did not have a daily routine of taking the supplements because most days I did not remember to take them. Although I did not take them routinely, I believe they contributed to my hair growth on the days I did take them. I am in between stages 1 & 2 on the chart provided below.
